While we are tasting an exquisite “Rosso di Montefalco” wine and a lamb leg is roasting on the spit, we look around to admire a marvelous rosy sunset among Umbrian hills…
We are in Collemancio, at the “Il Rientro” restaurant, where since 1978 the tradition of Umbrian kitchen is continued by our chef. Local products such as truffles, mushrooms (boletus, pore mushroom or polish mushroom), the onions of Cannara, extra-vergine olive oil and venison boost the homemade pasta dishes and celebrate appetizing meat cooked on a wide fireplace in the middle of the room.
Besides offering Umbrian kitchen, “Il Rientro” matches its home-made pizzas cooked in a wood-burning oven, with a wide range of locally brewed bear.
In summertime guests can enjoy an evening spent on the terrace of “Il Rientro” restaurant that faces the square of the Palazzo del Podestà (the ancient town authority, today housing the Antiquarium) which allows to admire a fabulous panorama.
